Facebook reported fiscal 3Q19 revenues of $17.7 billion, up 29% year-over-year and beating the $17.37 billion consensus estimate. Payments & Other Fees revenue, which includes sales of Oculus Quest and Rift S, were $269 million for the quarter, up 43% year-over-year.
Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, reported fiscal 2Q19 revenues of $38.9 billion during the quarter, up 19% year over year and beating the $38.2 billion consensus estimate. Alphabet’s management also provided an update to investors and analysts about its current augmented reality-related roadmap.
Announced last week, ModiFace has partnered with Amazon to enhance the beauty try-on experience for Amazon customers. ModiFace integrated their augmented reality and artificial intelligence technology within the Amazon app, allowing customers from the U.S. and Japan to try-on various shades of lipstick from L’Oréal makeup brands, Anastasia Beverly Hills, CoverGirl, Revlon, and Rimmel.
